There is something I really like about the end of a year and the start of a new one. It’s a great opportunity to reflect, but also make new plans. 2017 has been the most incredible year for us with the opportunity to travel in the USA, and 2018 will bring new adventures. Los Angeles Rock N Roll Half Marathon

At the beginning of this year I could barely run a mile. Not that I wasn’t keeping fit but running has never been something I feel I’ve been any good at. After being encouraged by my friend to sign up to a 5K wine run in March (you can read about it here) for some crazy reason I then decided to join them in the Los Angeles Rock N Roll Half Marathon on the 29th October. DTLA: Grand Central Market & The Last Bookstore

Can you believe we had never been to Downtown LA? We’ve lived here 10 months now and never been, and even when we did our West Coast road trip 5 years ago we spent 5 days in the LA area and didn’t go. We’ve done Hollywood, Griffith Park, Getty Center, Santa Monica and other beaches, but not downtown LA. So last Sunday afternoon, we decided to head out to explore for a couple of hours.

The El Capitan Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard

My favourite Disney film from my childhood was Beauty and the Beast. I used to watch it over and over, I think I actually wore out the VHS! I’ve been really looking forward to the live action remake, so when my friend invited us to go see it somewhere pretty special I couldn’t refuse.
