A little while ago, when the weather was still reasonable enough to venture out of the house for more than 20 minutes, my friend and I decided to take Charlie and her toddler for a morning hike at Placerita Canyon State Park.
We originally went in search of a waterfall walk, but when we arrived the trail to the waterfall was closed. A lot of this area was really badly affected by wildfires last year which meant that a lot of trails still haven’t reopened as they are unsafe. We’ve seen evidence of this already this summer, with quite a few wildfires making the news. The landscape is so dry it spreads so quickly and can be quite a scary thought.
There were plenty of other trails open though, so we spent a few hours exploring before it got too warm for the pooch. I took a few photos to share on here so I hope you like them! I think we will head back later in the year when it gets a bit cooler again as it will be nice to explore a bit more.
It’s a short and sweet post today, but I’ll be back with an update soon. I’ve got my brother and niece visiting so we’ve got a lot of exploring to do, and we’re heading to Vegas on Sunday!
